There are many national and regional foundations, agencies, and professional groups interested in the improvement of mathematics, science, and technology education are organized to conduct their work on a state-by-state basis. To provide national support for the work of state coalitions, NASSMC brings member coalitions' work to the attention of those national and regional entities, and it promotes collaborative relationships that will enhance that work. NASSMC's national role has three main thrusts.
