It is impossible to discuss education (or business or policy) without using words and phases either that unique to the field or that are used in was that are unique to the filed. Moreover, the meaning of some terms in mathematics, science, and technology (such as "problem solving") are evolving and do not have a universally-accepted definition. In an effort to assist its member coalitions to deal with this language problem, NASSMC is in the process of compiling a small lexicon of mathematics, science, and technology education terms as used in public discussions. Coalition leaders are encouraged to edit and extend the current lexicon that can be viewed by clicking here.
