Coalitions are Involved with and Provide Support to Student Programs

NASSMC Coalitions have demonstrated a strong interest in and commitment to student programs. Feedback from coalitions thus far shows that the support is particularly focused on programs encouraging participation of females and minorities in science, mathematics, and technology.

The types of programs receiving coalitions support include national ones such as the NASA Student Involvement Program (http://www.nsip.net/) and state/local ones such as Oklahoma's Family Adventures in Mathematics Engineering and Science (FAMES) Project: (http://www.nassmc.org/states/oklahoma.html).

If your coalition now supports or wishes to become involved with programs such as these, please let NASSMC know so that we can keep track as part of our continuing collaboration with the U.S. Department of

Education's Mathematics and Science Initiative (MSI). Send information or inquiries to Jane George at jgeorge@nassmc.org.
